Dressing Up Jigs

Published by Atlas under on Sunday, June 30, 2013

Combining the world of fly tying and fly fishing with conventional fishing, I recently took some jigs and dressed them up with fly materials. While marabou jigs alone are not new nor unfamiliar--having the flexibility and materials to create your own, allows endless possibilities and a jig is a similar enough medium to tie many fly patterns, the only limiting factor is ones imagination. Those below were tied for my father with the intent on fishing for Smallies and Panfish. The first and last are my personal favorites.
