Thanks for testing it and let me know if you have any more use/luck with it. I was catching crappies regularly on the microjig/indicator system, and I figured it was a great opportunity to compare results to another pattern. I switched to your fly, and worked an entire stretch of shoreline. Bass loved it! Caught 3 on it, and then snagged something HUGE...catfish or grass carp I suspect. No crappies. I switched back to the microjig/indicator, and continued catching crappies. My opinion is it sinks too fast, so that it must be worked faster than crappies would prefer. May be a bit too long as well. I see you've done well on crappies with it, and it sounds like others in your area have also...so maybe its just my local fish that prefer a microjig? Or maybe it works better when the fish are suspended over deeper water? The fish I was catching were adjacent to the shallow top of a dropoff next to deeper water.FishnDavehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12224770232081356438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6999175451164360443.post-56640435386985142652014-05-19T14:38:21.802-07:002014-05-19T14:38:21.802-07:00Crappie are a lot of fun for sure, especially the ...Crappie are a lot of fun for sure, especially the bigger ones.
